Paper Bag Wreath & Earring Giveaway Winners!

I saw a paper bag wreath on a blog while browsing a link party a few weeks ago. I thought it was so neat! So I made one for myself over the weekend.

I liked the look of the natural brown, but I thought it would look nice with a light coat of spray paint on it. I love dried hydrangeas and wanted it to look like that. I think the paint did the trick. Looking at it, you'd never guess it was made from brown paper lunch sacks! And my cost was $1 for the foam ring at the Dollar Tree store. Even better!

For instructions on making your own paper bag wreath, check this out! I followed her instructions except on how to cut out the scalloped circles. I didn't have a punch, but did have the Accent Essentials cricut cartridge. So I used that to cut out all of my scallops. Just cut the paper bag down the side and laid it flat on my cricut mat.

And the WINNERS of the earring giveaway are as follows!

#1 Hoop earrings: post #12, Julie!

#2 Brown circle earrings: #30, Laine!

#3 Dangly earrings: post #43, Kierst!

Thanks for participating!

I love it! Especially painted. Did you paint it before or after you attached the paper to the wreath?

Your wreath is too cute and the spray paint is genius! Love the way it doesn't look just flat white. And the combo with the welcome script on your door? Lovely.

I want to try your wreath and I have the Accent Essentials cartridge. Which design did you use? So cute!

Honeysuckle, I used the scallop in the Accent Essentials Cartridge. It looks just like the scallop punch in the tutorial that I linked the post to. Good luck!

I love finding new crafts that don't cost an arm and a leg. Thanks a ton for this idea. I really like it. Do you think there is any way to do it without a Cricut or a punch? I don't have either... :(

So cute and spray painting it gave it a whole new look. I really like it! I did one out of cupcake liners for Valentine's Day and they are so amazingly easy.

Is your "welcome" a special outdoor decal? I'd love to do that on our door, but I didn't think the inside ones would hold up.

Found you from Tip Junkie.
